Neon lights will flood the darkest streetscape,
Florescent sparks on the backside of your eyelids,
My amusement may not fit for the occasion,
Fidgeting with my sleeves to soothe this trepidation,
All this time I,
Spent in the weirdest haze maze,
Did what I could,
But it only kept to amaze me,
There are people that doesn't care,
They can just get out of here,
And they couldn't care at all,
It all looks the same when it's all washed out,
These vivid points are pasted on a blank slate,
Could this midnight city keep me here forever,
There's a path that I can take but I am not that clever,
And I will always try,
To take it off this time,
For all of us that thought we had it all.
